Cookies
What the law says
According to EU directives and Swedish law, each site should from 2011-07-01
inform the user of each cookie that the site would store on the user's computer and the purpose of this cookie, and
obtain the user's explicit acceptance for the website to store the cookie.
If the user does not leave his approval the site must not store the cookie on the user's computer.
However, if the user uses a function that uses cookie / cookies, and the website have informed of this,
the user may be deemed to have accepted the cookie / cookies.
The Swedish law is (deliberately?) fuzzy in anticipation of industry recommendations, and perhaps also
that the law has been interpreted by the courts.
What is a cookie
A cookie is a small text file sent from our Web server and stored by your browser.
There are two kinds of cookies, 'normal' cookies and 'session' cookies.
Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser and is not saved, (cookie name begins with: ASPSESSION)
while ordinary cookies are stored on
your computer for a longer period of time.
How we use cookies
The purpose of the use of cookies on this site is to display the text in the language you
prefer (cookie name: COLanguage),
and in order to display your contact list (cookie name: minakontakter)
and to allow Byggis to use Google Analytics to analyze Web site usage (cookie names begins with: __utm).
If cookies are accepted, Byggis will also store a cookie that tells that the user has accepted the Byggis sites
all cookies, and when it happened (cookie name: KAKaccept).
Top of each page will show when the user accepted the cookie and a possibility to refuse cookies.
If you refuse cookies all cookies will be erased except session cookies, which disappear when you close your browser,
and cookies that start with: __utm, which must be manually removed.
Google and Hitta can also put cookies on your hard drive in order to
show the search pages and search results
show translation pages
show calendar
show advertisements
analyze on which page of the website that the user arrives and from which page the user leaves the site
(for example, thereby indicating whether any page is not working properly)
Since Byggis are not collecting any personal information about users, cookies that are stored
by Byggis site cannot be considered to be intrusive.
Byggis site will not function without these cookies.
How can you avoid cookies
If you do not want to accept cookies, your browser can be set to automatically reject the storing of cookies
or you can be informed every time a website asks permission to store a cookie.
The browser can also delete previously stored cookies. See your browser's help pages for more information.
You can also delete cookies manually from your hard drive at any time.
For manual handling, eg removal of the cookies stored by Byggis site, do the following:
Windows Internet Explorer: Tools, Internet alternative, tab Privacy,
Preferences, Sites, Privacy Actions for choosen websites, fill in Website URL
eg Byggis, click on "Block" or "Allow".
If the domain name is on the list below, select it and click on "Remove" respectively "Remove all" if desired.
From the tab Privacy you can also below Preferences click on Advanced, click in
"Override automatic cookie handling" and eg chose "Ask", and click on "OK" a couple of times.
Mozilla Firefox: Tools, Preferences, tab Privacy, click on "Show cookies".
Click on "Remove all" to delete all cookies. Mark in turn: "byggis.se", "doubleclick.net", "google.com"
"hitta.se" and "translate.googleapis.com" and click on "Remove cookies" to delete all cookies created from
Byggis webbplats.
If you choose not to accept cookies that Byggis site want to store on your computer,
Byggis will not work.
